What we are building

Nobody should feel lazy because a chore will not start

Dopami started with two people and a pile of laundry. We are building the place we wanted back then: somewhere starting is easier, because you are not doing it alone.

  1. Who it is for Anyone whose brain makes starting hard: diagnosed, self-identified, waiting on an assessment, or living with someone who is.
  2. The Doom Pile Club

What we build A community first. Then the tools around it, shaped by the people who use them.
  3. Where we are going Less shame, more small wins. Homes that move forward a little at a time.

Inside the server

Inside the ADHD Discord that gets you started

This is what a normal week on the Doom Pile Club looks like. Real posts, real sinks, and nobody asking why you did not just do it.

Post the pile in #doom-piles

Open a thread for the thing you keep walking past: the desk room full of boxes, the sink, the toothpaste cap. A photo is enough. Someone answers, and more often than not the answer is: let's do it together tonight.

Say the one thing in #one-thing

One thing for today, not a list. The others tick it, and when you come back in the evening someone asks how it went.

Count the tiny wins in #tiny-wins

Every win you post earns XP, and the club bot levels you up, starting as a Dust Bunny. Cheering on other people's wins is how the Dopamine Dealer role gets handed out.

Body double on voice

Two sessions a week, in the voice rooms. Midweek Focus on Wednesdays: 25 minutes, nobody hosts, nobody talks, you just show up and start the thing. Sunday Reset: 30 minutes, music on, everyone tidies one thing, camera off.

Two Doom Pile Club events: Midweek Focus, 25 minutes of silent body doubling on Wednesdays in the Focus Room, and Sunday Reset, 30 minutes of tidying with music in Deep Clean Radio

Why it is hard

Why chores are harder with ADHD

It is rarely about doing the chore. It is about starting it. Executive dysfunction turns an open-ended task "clean the kitchen" into a decision with no obvious first move, and an ADHD brain that gets no dopamine signal from an unfinished task has nothing pulling it forward.

That is the part we work on: shrinking the first move until it fits the energy you actually have, and making sure someone is there when you take it.

Two circles

The server, and the people you live with

The Doom Pile Club is the wide circle: brains that work the way yours does, taking on the same challenges at the same time, at every hour of the day.

The close one is home: the partner, the kids, the flatmates. We want both to pull the same way, so that the evenings when nobody at home has the energy still have a whole server behind them.

Your avatar starts plain

Everyone opens Dopami with the same blank face. What it ends up wearing is a record of the chores you actually finished — around 400 pieces, from common to legendary, and none of them for sale on their own.

The Dopami cartoon

Meet Dopa, the little pink brain that travels with you, mission after mission — never to rush you, just to make the next step feel lighter.

The chores you keep walking past get a life of their own here: the bin bags by the door, the plate in the sink, the fridge buried under notes. They grow teeth when you postpone them, and they shrink the moment you start.

Every short lives on Instagram — Dopa against the bin bags, the sink, the laundry pile. Follow along to catch the new ones.

Everything you wonder before getting started

What is body doubling, and how does it work for ADHD? +
Body doubling means doing a task while someone else does theirs at the same time. The other person is not helping you clean and is not checking up on you: their presence is simply what makes starting possible when your brain will not start on its own. It is what our Discord runs on every day, in writing or on call.
What is a doom pile? +
DOOM stands for Didn't Organise, Only Moved: the pile on the chair, the box of things with no home, the corner you stopped seeing. It is stuff shifted from one surface to another without ever being put away, and it is extremely common with ADHD. Our community is called The Doom Pile Club because everyone in it has one.
Where can I find ADHD cleaning tips that actually work? +
In the Doom Pile Club, our free Discord. The tips there come from people mid-pile who are using them today, not from listicles written by someone with a naturally clean kitchen. You can also start with our guides and free tools.
Is the community free to join? +
Yes. The Discord server is free and always will be. There is no fee and no diagnosis to prove, and you can read for as long as you like before posting anything.
Who is the community for? +
Anyone whose brain makes starting hard: diagnosed, self-identified, waiting on an assessment, or living with someone who is. It is built around household chores and doom piles rather than general ADHD chat.
