Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Dopami (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all users, including household members added by an account owner.

2. Description of Service

Dopami is a household task management application with gamification features including XP points, levels, and trophies. The Service allows users to:

• Create and manage household rooms and tasks.
• Invite and collaborate with household members (up to 6 per household).
• Earn XP and unlock trophies for completing tasks.
• Receive push notifications for task assignments and updates.
• Subscribe to a paid plan and buy optional in-app items (see Section 5).

Some features are free, while others require an active paid subscription. Optional cosmetic and virtual items are available as separate in-app purchases.

3. Account Registration

To use Dopami, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for:

• Keeping your credentials confidential.
• All activity that occurs under your account.
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm you meet this requirement.

4. Beta Access

Dopami is currently available through beta access. Access may be limited while the product is being tested and improved.

• Beta access and waitlist launch rewards can be requested through the official Dopami website.
• Beta features may change, be added, or be removed during testing.
• We may limit, pause, or close beta access to keep the service stable.
• Future commercial terms, if any, will be communicated before they apply.

The referral waitlist, beta quota, launch rewards, and plushie draw are governed by the separate waitlist and draw rules. Participation does not guarantee beta access unless the published guarantee conditions are met, and beta access does not guarantee a plushie.

5. Subscriptions, Pricing and In-App Purchases

5.1 Dopami Premium subscription

Dopami offers an optional paid subscription ("Dopami Premium") that unlocks additional features. The subscription is available in two billing periods:

• Monthly plan: €9.99 per month, billed every month.
• Annual plan: €36.00 per year, billed once every 12 months.

All prices are in euros and include applicable VAT where required. Prices may vary by country and store, based on local taxes and currency conversion; the final price is always shown before you confirm the purchase.

5.2 Billing and automatic renewal

• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
• Payment is charged to the account of the app store or payment provider you used at purchase.
• We do not process or store your card details. Payments are handled by our payment provider or by the Apple App Store / Google Play, depending on how you subscribe.
• We may change subscription prices. Any price change will be communicated at least 30 days in advance and will only apply from your next renewal. You may cancel before the new price takes effect.

5.3 Cancellation

You may cancel at any time from your app store account settings or from your Dopami account settings, depending on where you subscribed. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access to paid features until the end of the current billing period. Deleting the Dopami app does not cancel a subscription.

5.4 In-app purchases

Dopami also offers optional one-off in-app purchases, including:

• Gems: a virtual currency used inside the app.
• Cosmetics: avatars, outfits, and other decorative items.
• Backgrounds and themes: visual customisation of the app.
• Sounds: alternative sound packs and audio effects.

These items are optional and are not required to use the core household task features. The price of each item is displayed before purchase.

5.5 Virtual items and virtual currency

Gems, cosmetics, backgrounds, sounds, and any other virtual item are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use inside Dopami. They are not your property, have no monetary value outside the Service, and cannot be exchanged, resold, transferred between accounts, or converted into real money. Unused virtual items and virtual currency are lost if your account is deleted or terminated for a breach of these Terms.

We may add, modify, rebalance, or discontinue virtual items and their in-app functions at any time to keep the game economy fair and the Service maintainable.

5.6 Right of withdrawal and refunds

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital purchases. By starting a subscription or downloading a digital item immediately, you expressly request immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose this right of withdrawal once the content has been fully delivered, in accordance with Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code.

Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are subject to those stores' refund policies, and refund requests must be sent to them. For purchases made directly with us, contact billing@do-pami.com.

5.7 Non-payment

If a payment fails or is reversed, we may suspend access to paid features until the amount due is settled. Your free features and your data remain available, subject to the rest of these Terms.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or hack the Service.
• Abuse, harass, or harm other household members through the platform.
• Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the Service.
• Circumvent any security or access controls.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

7. User Content

You retain ownership of the content you create in Dopami (room names, task descriptions, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and display this content solely to operate the Service.

You are solely responsible for the content you add. We are not responsible for user-generated content.

8. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property in the Dopami app including the name, logo, design, features, and gamification system belongs to us. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks or branding.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dopami is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for:

• Loss of data due to technical failures.
• Service interruptions or downtime.
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, without prior notice in serious cases.

Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of France. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of France, unless applicable consumer law in your country provides otherwise.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification with at least 14 days' notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
